As a passionate cat lover and continuing my decade-long photographic research on the theme of affection and family relationships, I wanted to explore, through this project, the unique bond between felines and their human friends, an unbreakable bond that spans every era and culture.

The result of this journey is captured in twelve black-and-white portraits, taken between March and July 2025, featuring the models—girls, girls, and women from Umbertide—in the company of their cats, portrayed in their familiar surroundings.
Twelve images suspended between dream and everyday life, where the thread connecting felines to the world of women emerges spontaneously, from childhood to adolescence, through adulthood and old age.
The exhibition, curated by architect Silvia Gnagnetti, was presented on Sunday 14 September 2025 in the evocative atelier of Maestro Antonio Renzini, in the heart of the historic centre of Umbertide.
